Stan Moote:
Vice President of Business Development at Harris Broadcast, where he focuses on workflow solutions, new technology and interoperability. A highly respected industry veteran who holds several patents, Mr. Moote began his television career in 1977 as a plant engineer for CFTO-TV in Toronto, Canada. He was involved in the original SMPTE Digital Video Standards Committee meetings that resulted in the creation of CCIR-601, and continues to support industry initiatives by coordinating activities within Harris for various standards groups.

Why pay for bad content?

Back in the “good old” days, it was easy to know if a tape wouldn’t play out during the ingest process. With a limited number of playback devices and a consistency of encoding and delivery, the tape-based era was arguably a simpler time for assuring content quality.
